Are you planning to participate in this year’s Congressional App Challenge? Do you have questions about how to effectively develop your app?
Join us for a series of special speaker and mentorship sessions featuring different winners of last year’s Congressional App Challenge.
During their session, our speakers will present their award-winning app and share valuable insights, strategies, and tips for success in the competition. Following their presentation, students will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive personalized advice and mentorship on their own app development projects.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain firsthand guidance from a past winner and enhance your preparation for the challenge.
Jaylynn Perez - August 22nd, 5 pm PST
Jaylynn is a high school student from New York and a winner of last year's Congressional App Challenge. She helped develop Makers of Tomorrow, an innovative and accessible app designed to increase minority interest and participation in STEM. The platform enables students to connect, share STEM-related projects, and explore engaging lab ideas across various scientific disciplines to spark curiosity and involvement.
Emily Ahmad - August 31st, 3 pm PST
Emily is a high school student from Ohio and a winner of last year's Congressional App Challenge. She created SwiftSecure, a platform designed to teach kids the fundamentals of cybersecurity and safe online behavior. Inspired by a personal moment watching a young cousin explore the internet without guidance, the app was created to help children navigate the digital world safely and confidently.
Grace Kaspar and Sia Sood - September 5th, 5 pm PST
Grace and Sia are high school students from Minnesota and winners of last year's Congressional App Challenge. Wanting to raise awareness about brain health, they developed the app Design Your Brain, which uses engaging tools to improve attention, memory, and other cognitive skills. The app features personalized levels, interactive puzzles, and an AI brain buddy designed to make cognitive training more accessible.
